Articulation Opportunities

From 2003 to 2017, over 22,900 HKCC graduates have successfully articulated to bachelor’s degree programmes. This represents a 15-year average articulation rate of 80.9%, which ranks among the highest in Hong Kong.

HKCC’s mission is to offer quality sub-degree programmes that meet the changing needs of our community and prepare graduates for pursuing further studies or career development. These programmes span the domains of arts, science, social sciences and business and the specialised area of design and health studies.

Besides, over 30 articulation arrangements have been reached with universities in Hong Kong, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, etc. HKCC graduates with outstanding performance would be given advanced standing, such as transfer of credits and exemption of subjects in their bachelor’s degree studies.

For details about articulation opportunities of HKCC graduates, please click here. Mainland applicants are reminded that all universities in Hong Kong have full discretion to admit students based on their own criteria and admission procedures, therefore HKCC does not guarantee admission to any undergraduate degree programmes offered by local universities.

Student & Graduates Sharing

WU Qingrong
(Fujian Province)
Year Two Student of Associate in Business

I am grateful to HKCC for helping me pave the way for pursuing studies at my ideal university. This programme offers a variety of discipline-specific subjects in the business field, which are closely linked with university disciplines. Also, the general education subjects enable students to improve communication skills, cultivate critical thinking and widen their knowledge. In the beginning, I was concerned whether I could adapt to the new learning environment. My appreciation goes to my lecturers, who are really helpful whenever I have difficulty in learning or planning for further studies. Thanks to their advice and inspiration, I have adapted to the learning environment in Hong Kong and have a clear goal now.

ZHENG Junming
(Guangdong Province)
2016 Graduate of Associate in Business
Admitted to PolyU’s Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in International Shipping and Transport Logistics

Yearning to experience Hong Kong as a cosmopolitan city, I decided to study at HKCC, which has a good reputation for offering quality associate degree programmes, after graduating from high school. The professional training provided by HKCC lecturers and the mutual help among classmates improved my academic standard and communication skills rapidly. Two years later, I was admitted to PolyU and offered accommodation in PolyU Student Halls of Residence. This hard-won success was attributable to the help from HKCC lecturers. After entering PolyU, I realised that the professional subjects and state-of-the-art facilities provided by HKCC have facilitated my adaptation to the learning environment at PolyU. I feel deeply grateful to HKCC lecturers and classmates. Without their support and encouragement, it would have been very difficult for me to achieve my goal of furthering studies in Hong Kong.

LUO Mengxing
(Guangdong Province)
2015 Graduate of Associate in Business
Admitted to PolyU’s Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Accountancy

Pursuing higher education in Hong Kong has been my dream since junior high school. As my performance in the mainland’s National College Entrance Examination was unsatisfactory, I chose to study at HKCC as a springboard for fulfilling my dream of pursuing undergraduate studies in Hong Kong. The curriculum design at HKCC is similar to the one at university, which provides a variety of subjects for students to choose from. Many subjects are designed to develop students’ communication and presentation skills, which are conducive to their all-round development and future studies at university. I am very grateful to my lecturers at HKCC who inspired me to find my academic and career interests. They are both my teachers and best friends. Thanks to their support and encouragement, I have entered PolyU to pursue my undergraduate studies.
